  so i think the plan for this week is reading Völuspá (the seeress' prophecy) from the Poetic Edda out loud! as a group.  you don't have to read it before, but if you want to, it is here:

  be aware that this translation is from '36, and the books that we will have for sunday are from '96.  but the content is pretty much the same.

  Völuspá lays down the 'mythic timeline', and is one of the most descriptive sources of the event Ragnarök (doom of the gods) that there is.  it is rad.
